Summary

The overall goal of STAZA (meaning footpath) is to increase resilience of ecosystems and adaptation of livelihoods in rural areas affected by climate change. The specific objective of STAZA is to enhance the adaptive capacity of smallholderfarmers and rural households to climate change risks and effects. STAZA will achieve the objective by assessing the requirements of farmers and the vulnerable population, identifying their specific needs, and implementing tailored solutions to effectively adapt to the impacts of climate change. STAZA aims tosupport smallholder farmers in developing a climate-proof ecosystem for agriculture through climate change adaptation measures, improved water management, disaster risk reduction, and land protection initiatives.
