The National Climate Change Plan (the Climate Plan) guides adaptation and mitigation efforts to reduce the adverse effects of climate change and the vulnerability of environmental, social, and economic systems.
The Resolution No. 03, dated September 14, 2023, provides for the update of the Climate Plan and defines it as an instrument of the National Policy on Climate Change (PNMC) to consolidate the strategies, plans, and targets of the Federal Executive Branch, contributing to the objectives of the Policy and to the achievement of the targets established in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement.

Brazil’s Sectoral Plan for Industry and Mining aims to increase the climate resilience of industrial and mining sectors by integrating climate risk management into planning, strengthening adaptive capacity across value chains, and protecting productivity, infrastructure, and competitiveness from climate-related impacts.
The main objectives are:
