<p>Burkina Faso's Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan for aims to promote climate adaptation in the long term, with a focus on interventions for the 2024-2026 period, hoping to help achieve a 50% rural poverty rate and a climate change adaptation index (ND-GAIN) of 38.85 by 2028, compared to 37.6 in 2021. The action plan spans a range of sectors, including promotion of solar energy to increase grid security, increasing water storage capacity, urban stormwater drainage improvements, increasing forest cover to prevent land degradation, and improving availability of research outputs to stakeholders.</p>
