<p>The Draft National Greenhouse Gas Carbon Budget and Mitigation Plan Regulations aim to implement in part the Climate Change Act of 2024, providing a regulatory framework for nationally registered carbon budgets and mitigation plans. They set out detailed requirements for data providers, and provide lists of applicable greenhouse gases, sectors and specific climate-relevant polluting activities. Publication of the draft was followed by a sixty-day public consultation, which may affect their further development and implementation.</p>
