The project aims to reduce land degradation and flooding risks in Armenia’s Aragatsotn and Shirak regions through sustainable land, water, and natural resource management. It restores degraded lands, establishes drainage and irrigation systems, and promotes afforestation, erosion control, and climate-smart agriculture. By strengthening local capacity and supporting community-based planning, it enhances livelihoods, ecosystem services, and climate resilience in the Artik region.
