Summary
Project Objective: Increase the population's capacity to adapt to climate change through financing adaptation measures in the sectors of water regulation, agriculture and food security, and forest and forestry prioritized in the National Determined Contributions in selected vulnerable watersheds. The project's expected impact is to increase resiliency at the community and sub-national level to climate variability and climate change in three selected ecosystems: the Santa Periglacial Watershed Ecosystem (Ancash), the Upper Waters of the Chancay Lambayeque Watershed (Cajamarca) and the Amazonian basin of the Huallaga and Paranapura rivers, home of the Shawi indigenous group in the Amazon region.
