Summary

Designed to develop green livelihood opportunities for disadvantaged groups, especially women and youth, who are prominent in the green transformation process, the SoGreen Project aims to create new jobs and employment opportunities and increase social inclusion. The first component of the project aims to provide better access to economic opportunities for women and youth, while offering repayable financing and grant support for activities that will contribute to green transition processes. Only sub-project proposals that are compatible with one of the six environmental objectives of the European Union (EU) 2020 green taxonomy regulation will be supported under the SoGreen Project. In this context, the first component of the project will encourage existing and new beneficiaries to create economic opportunities that contribute to the green transition process. These activities include: (a) supporting the use of existing green technologies aimed at increasing energy and material efficiency, promoting the use of renewable energy sources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions; (b) developing new business and service models that will facilitate the green transition or serve green consumption patterns; (c) addressing climate change and activities aimed at increasing resilience to natural disasters include reducing flood risk, implementing efficient ventilation and cooling systems, and managing supply chain risks.
