Summary

The National Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (SNRRC) in the Comoros aims to strengthen prevention, management and resilience and to ensure a coordinated, rapid and effective response in order to protect vulnerable populations and significantly reduce humanitarian impacts in the event of an emergency. The SNRRC also aims to ensure the coherence of public policies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adaptation to climate change (ACC) and the Emerging Comoros Plan (ECP). The main objective is to build a collective, unified, flexible, efficient and sustainable system that will guarantee disaster risk reduction, through concerted efforts and coordinated actions between state institutions and different stakeholders.
